Blockchain Credential Disclosure
Version 1.1.0 · Effective May 6, 2026 · Last revised May 6, 2026
ATAC Global CX credentials are blockchain-verified. This disclosure explains, in plain language, exactly what is written to the blockchain and pinned to IPFS, what is NOT, what it means for you, and what you cannot undo. Please read this before earning a credential.
1. What Goes on the Blockchain and IPFS
When you pass your assessment and earn a credential, credential data is written permanently to a public blockchain in the form of an ERC-721 token (commonly called an "NFT"), with additional metadata pinned to IPFS, a decentralized file storage network. The full record includes:
| Data | Recorded? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Credential ID (e.g. ATAC-C-2026-00001) | YES (on-chain + IPFS) | A unique identifier assigned by ATAC |
| Program designation (e.g. CRSA) | YES (IPFS metadata) | Which certification was earned |
| Your full name | YES (IPFS metadata) | Pinned in the metadata file linked from the on-chain token |
| Exact assessment score (overall percentage) | YES (IPFS metadata) | Your final percentage, e.g. 88% |
| Issue date and expiry date | YES (IPFS metadata) | Typically a 2-year validity |
| Credential status (Valid, Revoked, etc.) | YES (IPFS metadata) | Updated if credential is revoked |
| ATAC verification URL | YES (IPFS metadata) | Public link to verify your credential authenticity |
| Recipient wallet address | YES (Transfer event only) | Recorded on the on-chain Transfer event, not in pinned metadata |
| Metadata URI (link to IPFS file) | YES (on-chain) | The pointer from the token to the metadata file on IPFS |
| Your email address | NO | Never written on-chain or to IPFS |
| Your individual question responses | NO | Stored only in our private database |
| Your time spent per question | NO | Stored only in our private database |
| Payment information | NO | Handled separately by our payment processor |
| Your IP address or device information | NO | Never written on-chain or to IPFS |
Your full credential record (including name, score, dates, and status) is publicly accessible via the IPFS metadata file linked from your on-chain token. The blockchain record is the tamper-proof proof that your credential was issued by ATAC at a specific time, with the underlying details preserved on IPFS for verification.
2. What You Cannot Undo
This permanence is the feature that makes blockchain credentials valuable. It is also why we ask you to acknowledge it explicitly before you earn one:
- Once your credential is minted, the on-chain record and pinned IPFS metadata exist permanently
- If you later want to delete it, we cannot
- If you close your account, we can delete your personal information from our private database, but not the on-chain credential record or the IPFS metadata
- If a credential is revoked (for example, due to a violation of our Terms), the revocation is also permanent and public. It does NOT erase the original record
3. What Is Publicly Visible
Anyone with internet access can:
- See that a credential with ID ATAC-C-YYYY-NNNNN exists and its issue, expiry, and revocation status
- See the wallet address that holds the credential
- View the pinned IPFS metadata file containing your full name, exact score, and other credential details
- Verify the authenticity of your credential by visiting our verification URL
They cannot see your email address, individual question responses, payment information, or any device or location data. Those are stored only in our private database under our Privacy Policy.
4. Wallet Addresses
By default, ATAC holds your credential token in a custodial wallet on your behalf. This means you do not need to set up a blockchain wallet to earn or use your credential. Your credential remains fully valid and verifiable through our verification URL.
If you provide a blockchain wallet address you control, the credential token can instead be minted directly to your wallet:
- You receive portable proof of your credential
- Your wallet address becomes part of the public on-chain record (via the Transfer event)
- You can display your credential in wallets, portfolio apps, or any service that reads blockchain data
- If you transfer the token to another wallet, the new wallet address becomes associated with your credential. ATAC's verification system continues to track the credential by ID, not by wallet address
5. Network, Gas, and Technical Details
Credentials are minted on a public blockchain chosen for low transaction costs, energy efficiency, and broad ecosystem support. ATAC pays all minting fees. You do not pay any blockchain gas costs.
We maintain the technical infrastructure, including blockchain nodes, indexing services, and IPFS pinning, to ensure your credential remains verifiable for as long as the blockchain network operates. If our technical provider changes, your credential data remains on the blockchain and on IPFS, and remains verifiable.
6. Credential Revocation
ATAC may revoke a credential in limited circumstances described in our Terms of Service, including proven fraud, impersonation, or material violations of the Candidate Agreement. Revocation is executed by updating the credential's status on-chain. The original issuance record is NOT erased. Revocation is appended as additional public information.
Revocation is rare. ATAC provides candidates with an opportunity to respond to allegations of fraud before any revocation occurs, except in cases of clear evidence of identity fraud.
7. Your Consent
By proceeding to purchase a certification and earn a credential, you acknowledge that you have read this disclosure and consent to:
- The writing of your credential record (including your full name, credential ID, program, exact score, dates, status, and verification URL) to public blockchain and IPFS infrastructure upon issuance
- The public verifiability of that record by any party
- The permanent, immutable nature of the record
- The fact that ATAC cannot remove the record even at your subsequent request
You are expressly consenting to this processing as a core part of the service you are purchasing. Without this consent, we cannot issue you a blockchain-verified credential.
8. Questions
If you have questions about what is recorded to the blockchain or IPFS, or what we can and cannot do with your credential record, please contact us before purchasing:
