Intelligent Sourcing and the Impact Sourcing Alliance, led by Jon Yarlett, have spent years championing a simple idea: talent is everywhere, and the people who have been overlooked deserve a fair path to good work. The recognition is a good moment to say plainly why we think verifiable credentials are the missing piece for impact sourcing.
Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.
Impact sourcing is built on a truth that the rest of the hiring world is slow to accept. Capable, motivated people in underserved and emerging markets can do remote customer service work as well as anyone, often better. What they lack is not skill. It is a credible, portable way to prove that skill to an employer who has never met them.
A resume does not solve this. Anyone can write that they are an excellent communicator. A hiring manager halfway around the world has no fast way to know whether it is true, so they fall back on proxies that have nothing to do with ability: where someone lives, where they went to school, who they happen to know. Good people get filtered out for reasons that have nothing to do with whether they can handle a difficult customer call.
Why a resume cannot carry the proof
The core problem is trust at a distance. Remote and global hiring removes the in person signals employers used to rely on, and nothing dependable has replaced them. Claims do not travel well. Even a strong interview tells you how someone performs in an interview, not how they perform on a live call when a customer is frustrated and the clock is running.
That gap is expensive for everyone. Job seekers cannot convert real ability into opportunity. Employers and BPOs absorb the cost of wrong hires and slow screening. And the impact sourcing mission stalls, because the talent it champions still has no objective way to stand out.
What a verifiable credential changes
A credential only helps if it proves something real and anyone can confirm it. That is the standard we built the CRSA around.
Earning a CRSA is not a multiple choice quiz. Talent in underserved and emerging markets gets an objective, recognized way to prove they are job ready. BPOs and employers get a faster, lower risk way to identify and hire those agents at scale, because the screening work is already done and independently verifiable.
That is a better deal for both sides. Opportunity flows to skill rather than to location or connections, and the organizations doing the hiring get job ready people with proof attached.
